Your submission has been put on hold.

Type: new draft, album edit
Reason: This is a pretty complicated album to credit, certainly more involved than ones that you have done before. There are a bunch of things that we need to train you to do.

1. If a japanese artist doesn't have a VGMdb artist page, then you must provide a source for the romanization if you use one. Otherwise, it is fine to leave the name in kanji in the notes and the draft. This is to prevent us from unintionally crediting someone with the wrong name, which has happened in the past. There are 30-40 names in the draft and notes that will need sources, or will have to be replaced.

2. If a role name isn't in our database, then you can request it in the role request thread.

https://vgmdb.net/forums/showthread....965#post117965

Our role system is pretty dynamic, and is flexible and updatable. We want the role to be exact rather than hammering it into the most similar role. The "Check for Missing Roles" is helpful for finding these. I don't think you had too many on this draft, but one I did notice is "ブレーン".

3. In the notes, please replace Japanese role names with the equivalent translated name from our role database. Also, please replace any known kanji names with the romanized name from our artist page. If the artist doesn't have a page, and you have a source, then display them as "Nobuki Matsui [松井信樹]" in the notes.

4. You can generally replace the track names in the notes with the track number. We often use a format like "M1-01" instead of "1 歓喜の歌(交響曲第九番・第4楽章)".

5. For composers like Beethoven, you should select the "referenced" checkbox, which will make the name display in blue. This is for composers who didn't play an active role.

I know that this seems like a lot, but I think you will learn it all pretty quickly. I've placed the edit and draft on hold so that you can make the necessary changes.

@mudkipNDS

Tagging again because a bug caused all of my text to disappear. See above.

1. For the kanji romanizations, I just went off what was listed on the Game Center CX JP Wikipedia article for the hiragana transcriptions: https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ゲームセンターCXの登場人物

I'll leave those in, but for the other ones where I had to look up the kanji with online dictionaries, I've taken them out. I've put detailed notes in my most recent edit, but here it is below for convenience:

2. I'm not sure what "ブレーン" is supposed to be, honestly. I do know that it's a common word that keeps popping up on the Characters from Game Center CX article on JP Wiki though. And that IS what Nobuki Matsui's (松井信樹) current role is listed as apparently.

Also, FWIW, he's also listed as "Brain (ブレーン)" in the credits for the 3DS game: https://www.mobygames.com/game/65545...o/credits/3ds/

3. Done.

4. Done.

5. Did just that for Beethoven, even though he's listed as the composer for the first track. Should I do the same for company composers like NBGI and Sunsoft too or leave them as is?

@mudkipNDS

Sorry to respond so late.

2. We actually have a role for "Brain" in our database, so I just added "ブレーン" as an alias.
5. The reference checkbox is for anyone who didn't have an active role, which often is the case on arrange albums. I suspect it is true of this album too.
